The device uses a heat sensor with a dual detection algorithm — it registers both the exceeding of a preset temperature threshold (for example, 54–65°C depending on the mode) and the rate of temperature increase. This approach ensures effective protection in areas with dust, steam, or aerosols, where smoke detectors may cause false alarms — such as kitchens, garages, or industrial facilities.

The FireProtect Heat integrates with Ajax EN54 fire hubs and operates as part of a complete security and automation system. When hazardous conditions are detected, it sends an alert to the hub, which instantly notifies users via the mobile app, sirens, and, if necessary, a monitoring station or fire department.

The housing is made of heat-resistant plastic that is resistant to UV radiation and discoloration. A built-in indicator and sounder provide both visual and audible alerts, even without external sirens. The device is powered by an internal battery or an external power supply (depending on the modification), ensuring autonomous operation even during power outages.

It features dust and insect protection, easy installation, and simple maintenance. Configuration is done via the Ajax mobile app, where users can adjust trigger thresholds, check battery status, and run sensor tests.
