The device is certified according to European standards EN 54-4, EN 54-18, EN 54-25, and also complies with EN 50131 (Grade 2) security standard, making it suitable for professional projects that require compliance with fire safety regulations. The repeater is powered by a 230V AC mains supply and features a backup battery that provides autonomous operation for up to 24 or 72 hours in the event of a power outage.

Fire ReX supports Ethernet connectivity for multi-channel communication and uses Ajax’s proprietary Jeweller radio protocol to maintain secure and efficient communication with the Fire Hub and other system devices. Up to five Fire ReX units can be integrated into a single system, enabling wireless coverage of up to 35 km² without the need for additional cabling.

The device is equipped with tamper protection — sensors on the enclosure lid and back panel instantly alert to unauthorized opening or dismantling attempts. Its compact and well-thought-out design allows for quick wall mounting, with options available in white or black color. Fire ReX operates within a temperature range of –10°C to +40°C and up to 85% humidity, ensuring stable performance even in challenging environmental conditions.
