Compared to the 2.8 mm version, the fixed 4 mm lens provides a narrower field of view – approximately 75°–85° – enabling more focused monitoring of specific areas such as entrances, corridors, driveways, or parking spaces. This configuration ensures greater detail for medium-range observation, including face and license plate recognition.

HybridLight illumination combines infrared LEDs for discreet surveillance with white LED lighting for full-color night vision. Automatic switching between the modes ensures effective monitoring in complete darkness, with a range of up to 15 meters.

With True WDR technology, the DomeCam Mini HL maintains balanced video in scenes with strong lighting contrasts, preserving important details in both bright and shaded areas.

Built-in AI analytics allow the camera to differentiate between humans, vehicles, and animals, reducing false alarms and enhancing system efficiency.

The metal housing ensures durability and protection, rated IP65 for resistance to dust and water, and IK08 for impact resistance, making the camera reliable even in areas prone to tampering or vandalism. It can operate in temperatures ranging from −30 °C to +60 °C and humidity up to 90%.

For data storage, the DomeCam Mini HL supports microSD cards up to 256 GB (V30 recommended) and integration with NVRs that accommodate HDDs up to 16 TB.

Network and power options include a 100 Mbps Ethernet port with PoE (802.3af/at) support, simplifying installation by transmitting both power and data through a single cable. Alternatively, the camera can be powered via 12 V DC. Video is efficiently compressed using H.264 and H.265 codecs to save bandwidth and storage capacity.

Strong data security features — including mTLS authentication, Secure Boot, and OTA updates — ensure compliance with modern privacy and security standards.

The camera integrates a digital microphone that captures synchronized audio alongside video, supporting codecs such as G.711 μLAW/ALAW, G.726, and G.722.

Seamless integration with the Ajax ecosystem allows the DomeCam Mini HL (5 MP, 4 mm) to function as part of a complete security solution: enabling automation scenarios, sending push notifications, controlling sirens or lights, working with NVRs, building video walls, and defining privacy zones.
